BOROUGH PATRIOTIC ACTIVITIES REPRESENTATIVE ATTENDANCE DESIRED To discuss matters respecting patriotic activities and to form a Patriotic Committee, a public meeting will be held in the Parish Hall tomorrow evening, starting at 8 p.m. His Worship the Mayor will preside. Whakatane has a high standing in regard to patriotic efforts and apart from the co-ordination of these efforts, the formation of a Patriotic Committee would ensure that the Borough's reputation Avas fully maintained. To-morrow evening's meeting, therefore, is not one that residents should dismiss on the 'leave it to the other fellow' principle. The matters to be discussed concern all and an attendance fully representative of the Borough will demonstrate that this is appreciated.
