PAENGAROA-TE PUKE RACING CLUB ACCEPTANCES FOR SATURDAY With the closing of acceptances at noon yesterday, the response of owners has been excellent and most encouraging for the success of the l Paengaroa-Te Puke races for Saturday. A working bee of Club officials has been hard at work getting the course and appointments in order, and although there are many minor matters to attend to, everything will be in order for the comfort and convenience of patrons on Saturday. Provided the day is fine, keen racing should result. Nine are accepted for in the of Plenty Cup. Mr N. Grafas is well represented in this race by class horses, King Rey, Greek Queen and Silver Cloud., while other form horses, such as Jayola, Raceline and Floodlight, will give this race an extra interest. Seven horses remain in the Paengaroa Steeplechase, while the biggest field is in the final event, the Te Puke Handicap, with 11 acceptors. Owing to lack of entries the Rangiuru Hurdles Handicap has been deleted from the programme, and a 7-furlong (post entry) even!) substituted. A first class day's sport should result.
