Reardon, P. Jeffares.. M. Bowman. Goals: R. Kowat, E. Carling, J. Garland. Centres: N. Righton, M. Reardon, A. Chamberlain. All players and intending players are requested to be at the school grounds at 1.30 p.m. Opportunities on the Land. There were always opportunities to-day for married men of'ambition to take up employment in country districts, which woUkl lead to their becoming independent of employers, said the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon Wl E. Parry, in a statement in Christcliurch. The evacuation of young jjersons to the provincial towns of England was already producing in them a 1 for country life. The spirit and new life engendered in many of those young persons would make them unwilling to return to the streets of London, and thus the war evacuation would have advantages as well as disadvantages.
