Some improvements are being made to the Court room. Hot points are being installed so that four radiators can be used in the room'. The radiators will replace the antiquated system of heating hitherto in use. The installation of the radiators has made necessary a com prehensive overhauling of the electrical wiring. « * a * The next sitting of the Magistrate's Court is fixed for Tuesday, May 7th. This will be a departure from custom as previously the Court sat on the second Wednesday' in each month. A fairly heavy list will be dealt with by Mr E. Walton, S.M., next Tuesday, civil cases making up the bulk of the hearings. * 9 * • The construction of the new wharf is proceeding rapidly. Though the majority of the old piles removed showed little sign of wear, the other timber, the baulks formerly part of the upper structure in particular, was found to be far from The concrete wharf will add greatly to Whaltatane's amenities. « « « • The Centennial Park is in good use on these fine days.
