Oxenham £2 2s, in cash £2. £4 2s. 3rd Prize m cash £2 10s. 4th Prize Goods donated A. G. Allen 10s 6d, fir cash £1 10s. £2 0s 6d. sth Prize in cash £1 Is. 6th Prize in cash 10s 6d. The above prizes will be presented to the (winners at the evening performance at the Regent Theatre on Thursday, May 9tli. The thanks of the promoters are due to those businessmen who made the prize list possible. The ceremony will include the presentation of a special cake to the winning child and a bouquet to the mothers. The finalists will be eligible to compete for the district prizes valued at least £20 against tlie placed children from Tauranga, Opotiki' and Gisborne. Films of each section will be screened at Wliakatane.

ANOTHER WEEK TO GO

The local St John Baby Contest is not concluded in Whar* katane as announced unofficially in Monday's BEACON. There is still another week in which patrons to the Regent Theatre* will be able to record their votes for the town's most popular baby.
