PRODUCTION AND STAFF TEMPORARILY REDUCED NEW STOKE-STONE REQUIRED Production has been reduced at the Whiakatane Paper Mills and be-< tiween 35-40 employees are out of work until a- Stoke-stone, used for grinding the pinvrs insignis logs, and which was found to be faulty, can be replaced. - Work is continuing in the groundwood department, one machine being in use and it is the staff , of the cardboard room mainly affected by the partial suspension of operations. It is expected! to be three or fousrweeks before a new stone can be procured and fitted.
