ANZAC DAY
TO-MORROW'S CEREMONY' : PARADE AND MEMORIAL SERVICE The usual memorial service and parade will mark the observation of . Anzac Day (to-morrow) in Whaka-> tane. At 11 a.m. the service will take place in the Grand Theatre, where His Worship the Mayor, Mr B. S. Barry, will preside. Proceedings will be opened with the Na-» tional Anthem* after which the hymn 'The Old Hundredth' will be sung by the assembly. The prayer leader will be Rev. Si G. Caul ton (Anglican) and the Scripture reading by Rev. C. {P. Lucas, Kipling's famous Recessional hymn will follow, and the address will be given by Rev. J. Pattison. The hymn 'O God Our Help in Ages Past' will be followed by the Bene* diction. At the Pohaturoa Rock the Mill-* tary Ceremonial and paying on of wreaths' will take to be foI-+ lowed by the hymn 'Abide With Me* sung in English and Maori. ' Thief sounding of the Last Post, and l<lie Reveille will preceed the laying a? the official wreaths on the cenotaph during which will be played Boyer*s 'Garland of Flowers' by the Citizens* Band.The March Past of , Soldiers and Territorials will . take place down the Strand to the square.
