BASKETBALL
WHAKATANE OLD GIRLS CLUB ELECTION OF OFFICERS The annual general meeting of the Whakatane Old Girls' Club was held - the County Council Chambers or Monday night. There Avas a good attendance and the folloAving officers were elected: — Patron: Mrs B. S. Barry; president: Mr C. Kingsley-Smith; vicepresidents: Messrs W. Armstrong, J. Patterson, A. A. Newman, N. A. Corcoran, W. Bridger, A. G. Allan. G. R. Kent, C. Armstrong, D. C. Morpeth, R. W. Schofield; secretary and treasurer: Miss M. J. Reardon; delegates to Whakatane Basketball Association-: Miss A. Chamberlain and Miss M. Reardon. A Social Committee of nine members was selected It Avas left io the committee Ic appoint the selectors. A vote of thanks to outgoing office bearers concluded a most successful meeting.
