COUNTY ASSESSOR

APPOINTMENT FOR NEXT TERM The Financc Committee's recommendation that the matter be left to the County Clerk was adopted by the County Council at the meeting last week, when it was stated thati a letter had been received from the Valuer General to the effect that in view of the possibility of an Assessment Court requiring to sit and to hear objections to valuations in the district this year, and in view of the fact that the three year period of the County Assessor's appointment expired on November 17, 1939, the intimation was forwarded to consider taking early action enabling ratepayers to select the person to be appointed for the next three years.
