GIFT AFTERNOON

PRESENTATION TO MISS M. PATTERSON Miss Muriel Patterson was the guest of honour at a gift afternoon given her by the ladies of Knox Women's Missionary Union and the Girls' Auxiliary last Saturday. Knox Hall looked attractive with its decorations of autumn flowers. A short programme, songs by Miss Connie Sehofield and Miss Gay Speiiec and recitations by Miss Myrtle Whiteside,, proved most enjoyable and after the serving of a delicious afternoon tea, Miss Patterson was called upon to accept and open the numerous parcels with which went the good wishes of her many friends. The presentation of an etching and a G.iA. badge was made to Miss Patterson by the Girls' Auxiliary on its own behalf at the monthly meeting of the Club held last week.
