UNUSUAL CHARGE

DOGS AT LARGE IN STRAND The first prosecutions under the Borough By-Law which states that dogs are not allowed in the Strand unless held by a lead or chain were brought in the Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., Avas on the Bench, Mr L. Buddie appeared for the Borough Inspector, Mr G. A. Suckling for Nellie Ching and Mr E. Armstrong represented Alfred Hayter. A plea of guilty was entered in both eases and each defendant was convicted and ordered to pay £1 Is 6d coste.
