YOUNG FARMER'S CLUB
FIELD DAY AT PUKEHINA
A field, day, organised by the Puke hina Young Farmers' Club, was held at Mr J. Pa I tie's residence, Pukehina. on Saturday. Although th<? weather was wet, there was a good attendance of members and visitors. In welcoming the visitors, the chairman, Mr D. Shearer, said that although it was the first held day held by file club, he hoped to see in the future furLher field days, and was particularly pleased with the large attendance on their initial day. Mr W. Riddell, of Paengaroa, gave an interesting address on the show points of a .Jersey cow; Mr B. Broom, Te Puke, and Mr A. W.; Marsh, Pongakawa, on the show points of a draught horse: and Mr D. S. Ross, Rangiuni Road, on the best type of bacon pig. A delightful" afternoon tea was afterwards served by the young ladies of the district. The chairman then thanked all present for their help and co-opera-tlon in making the field day such a success.
