OPOTIKI PIG SALE Messrs Daigety and Co, Ltd. report having held their fortnightly pig sale when a very large yarding of all classes of pigs came forward, baconers predominating. There was a large and representative attendance of buyers with the usual bench of export buyers operating. Competition was exceedingly keen for all classes of heavy baconer which sold at a slight advance on recent rates. All classes of buttermilk pigs and stores met with keen competition at fully late rates. Weaners, which Avere yarded in aver age numbers, sold at slightly reduced values. Realisations: Heavy baconers £3 14s to £3 16s; medium weight baconers £3 8s to £3 12s; light £3 to £3 7s; porkers £2 5s to £2 12s fid; buttermilk pigs £2 to £2 los; stores £2 to &2 10s; slips £1 10s to £1 17s Gd; weaners 15s to 255; choppers, heavy £3 12s to : £4 Is; chop [ pers, medium weight £3 to £3 10s.
