FRIDAY. Several people are dead as the result ol' an attempt on the life of Rerr Hitler. Hitler had addressed a meeting at Munich and shortly after leaving, a bomb exploded. Hitler uninjured. Unconfirmed reports that the six killed in the Munich attempt on the life Oi Hitler include Herr Hess, the Fuehrer's personal deputy. Further unconfirmed leports state that sixty people were injured in. the explosion, the ceiling of the hall falling in on the crowd.
Eighty German vessels lying idle in South American ports, Italy replies to Soviet allegations of preparedness for profit. Malayan chief offers £120,000 for aerial warfare.
Turkish Assembly unanimously ratifies Pact with Britain. British scientist announces surprise for Nazis. Mr Churchill makes statement on naval losses.
