POLISH GIRLS SOUGHT AS WIVES
MEN WRITE TO CONSUL Several eligible young men in the country have written to the Polish Consul-General (Mr L. de Noskowski) in Sydney, expressing admiration for the Poles, and offering to marry Polish girls. One of them, a farmer, proposes : "I am :) young working man, of strong physique and good character. I would like one of the Polish gins, attractive, and of Ihe peasant class, as a wife, and would do my utmost to make her happy." Other sympathisers with Poland have offered to adopt refugee children. Mr de Noskowski says there is at present no opportunity for Polish refugees to come to Australia.
