NEW HALL
BUILDING AT EDGECUMBE
An illustration of the district's dcr velopment is provided in the recent erection in Edgecumbe of a general purpose hall. Built by Mr Thomas Bell for the Edgecumbe Hall Syndicate, the new building has a length of fifty feet and is thirty-six fee# across. A roomy stage, with wings on either side, provides for entertainment and addresses.
Fronting the hall, and placed on either side of the entrance, are two shops and these have already been occupied. Attached is a neat supper room while at the rear is a compact kitchen. Sound material has been tised in the construction and the new building constitutes an asset to the Edgecumbe district.
