KEEN OPENING CONTESTS
Trial fours marked the opening of the rowing club's new season on Sunday morning when three crews contested a three-quarter mile course for trophies donated by the President, Mr C. A. Hay ward.
The first hent, between Norman (s). Brown, Armstrong, Wilson and W. Stubbs (s) Hayward, Dawson, Carey, was won by Stubbs—a member 01 Norman's ciew losing his seat with 200 j'arrts to go after an oven struggle for the lead
Head (s), D. Stewart, Taylor, Wilson met Stubbs' crew in the filial
and alter a very cl(^s^j^ce/ r Head drew away at the finishing line to win by a canvas. Masters G. Dines and G. Moore were the coxswains.
Members are reminded tliat trial lours will be held 011 Sunday ""-next at 9.30 a.m. \
