112 RECRUITS LEAVE
Ninety men from the Bay o! Plenty and the Thames Valley journeyed by
the Taneatua train on Wednesday to the various military camps ? and the detachment were fhrewelled in varying fashion as each joined train. The Tauranga men received a particularly good send-off, the band being in attendance, and expressions of good luck coming fr,om the Mayor, Mr L. R. Wilkinson, the president of the Territorial Association, Dr J. L. Frazerhurst and the viccoresident. Rev Father Ecclcston. The Bay of Plenty men were:
