TAKEN FROM GARAGE unexplained CIRCUMSTANCES Unexplained circumstances surround the removal from its garage and subsequent destruction by fire of a 19-'.) model car, the property of E. Jeffs, employed at the Whakatane Paper Mills. It is understood that there had been some talk of raffling the vehiele but that this plan was not proceeded with. The car was removed from the garage by some person on Saturday night. At 7.15 p.m. it wa,s discovered on fire threc-<quarters of a mile away on the Freezing Works Road. It was completely burned out. .
