HERD TESTING
o NEW BODY FORMED An important step forward in herd testing activities is announced by the formation under the New Zealand Dairy Board's herd improvement plan of a new bods' to be called the " Bay of Plenty and East Coast Herd Improvement Association (Inc.). Its • constituent bodies are the Bay of "Plenty Herd Testing Association • {Inc), the Poverty Bay Herd Testing Association (Inc) and the Wairoa 'County Group Herd Testing Association (Inc). Headquarters of the new body will Xbe in Whakatane, and a,t a recent meeting a management committee of r ten members, seven, from the Bay of 'Plenty, two from Gisborne and one from Wairoa were appointed. Mr W. R. Boon, White Pine Bush } was un. :animously elected chairman, and Mr *G. R. Kent, secretary and manager.
