JERSEY BREEDERS
BAY REPRESENTATION
ON COUNCIL
An effort to secure the reprcscnta- : tion of the Bay ot Plenty on the council of the New Zealand Jersey Breeders' was made at ;i, meeting of the Te Puke Jersey • Cattle Club in the borough council ■ chambers recently. The club decided to support the candidature of Mr L. W. Wardlaw, which was also sought " 'by the Tauranga Jersey Cattle Club. The president, Mr A. C. Wright, mentioned the excellent display ol Jerseys at the Te Puke A. and P. ' Show this year, and Avas gratified at * the success of- local breeders. .He suggested that more Jersey classes in the " show would be an advantage, and thought that the club should subsidise them. Members were interested in dis- • cussing the purchases made at the * sales in the Whakatane district test week. Six members acquired nearly - 30 head there.
