galvanised main in Valley Road has been removed to a new line as a rcsul't of highway reconstruction work, the Department bearing the cost. The refuse dump has been graded and levelled. A new site has been chosen at the end of the harbour board's road across mudflats. As soon as the new site is levelled and made accessible the old dump will be fenced off by the harbour board. The council gave the foreman authority to proceed wi#h floodgate repairs.
