CAPTAIN SELLARS AND OUR OPOTIKI CORRESPONDENT.

TO THIS EDITOR, Sir,— -I observe yonr Opotiki correspondent, like a mosquito at midsummer, keeps on buzzing, doubtless to hie own small satisfaction, but certainly with no more than the momentary irritation that is caused by the sting of the before-mentioned nuisance. I think from tho tenor of his writing he must bo the identical individual who had his mouth smacked by Captain Fairchild, then in command of the Government p.s. Sturt, when at Whakatane, for offering his services to pilot the Sturt in to that harbour. If lam correct* in my surmise no serious notice requires to be taker, of any of his unfounded “ psb”— I am, Ac., Daniel Sbixabs, Master s s Eowona.
