REPRESENTATIVE RUGBY, WELLINGTON AND SOLDIERS' XV.'S
Mr. O. S. Harvey presided at last night's meeting of the Auckland Rugby Football Union, when representative fixture's were discussed.
The New Zealand Tank Brigade wrote accepting August 15 as the date for a return match with the Auckland representatives at Eden Park.
Wellington Union advised that September 5 was the most suitable date for a matcn with Auckland at Wellington.
An application from a second N.Z.E.F. team for a match against a service team was referred to the match committee.
Mr. G. Peace was appointed referee for the game at Eden Park on Saturday between Auckland and the Northern Army team. The curtain-raiser will be between Auckland Grammar School and Technical College.
Resolutions of sympathy were passed with the relatives of Warrant-Officer E. S. Talboy (Takapuna Club), killed in action, and Private L. G. Shand (Eden Club), died of wounds.
The recommendation of the Judicial committee that F. G. Zimmerman (M.T.P.) be stood down for the next playing Saturday was confirmed. H. W. Pascoe (Manukau), who was ordered off in the same match, was exonerated.
