task brigade seeks revenge The Auckland Football Association was last night advised by the New Zealand Tank Brigade that it could send its team to Blandiord Park on August 15 for a return match with Auckland. When the soldiers played here on June 6 they were defeated 2—o, after keeping their citadel intact in the second spell. Their skipper was Scott Sale, the former Auckland half-back, Plunket Shield and 1935 North Island cricket representative. It was agreed to stage the match, and the fixtures committee was requested to arrange a curtain-raiser for an Auckland B representative side. The formation of the Council of Sport in Auckland was supported by the board, and it was resolved that the association should be represented by the chairman of the control board and the junior management committee.
