There were heavy vegetable supplies at the city markets to-day. Pumpkins were in good supply, choice lines realising good prices. Small consignments of new potatoes and green peas and beans sold to a keen demand. Supplies of cabbage and cauliflower were heavy, realising fair prices. Onions were in fair supply with the demand firmer. There is still a fairly good demand for dessert pears. Hothouse tomatoes sold at good rates A keen demand existed for choice tree tomatoes.
