GRAIN AND PRODUCE
The following is the official market report of the Auckland Grain, Seed and Produce Merchants* Association;—
Wheat,—Orders are still being received for Australian wheat for delivery at the special cash-with-order prices for minimum 10-sack lota. Meantime ample stocks are held in store and are being delivered at from 7/3 to 7/4 per bushel.
Maize.—The demand is fair with ample stocks. Whole maize is selling at from 7/11 to 8/1 per bushel and crushed at from 8/1 to 8/3 per bushel. Oats.—Merchants are holding good stocks which are meeting with a fair inquiry. The price for B Gartons, through store, ranges from 5/8 to 5/9 per bushel. Barley.—Prices for barley have been substantially reduced as the result of the arrival of a cheaper shipment. Clipped is selling through store at from 5/7 to 5 9 per bushel and undipped at from 5 2 to 5/4 per bushel. Barleymeal.—ln view of the arrival of cheaper barley the price for barleymeal has also been reduced, but it will probably be some time before newly-ground barleymeal is available. The new prices range from £12 10 to £13 5/ per ton. Chaff.—This market is firm with fair stocks held. Through siore prices range from £11 15' to £12 15/ per ton.
