MINISTER VISITS HOSPITAL At a conference between the Minister of Health, Mr. Nordmeyer, and the executive of the Auckland division of the B.M.A. yesterday problems of the shortage of civilian dpctors and the night medical service in the city were discussed. The Minister had no comment to make to-day on the shortage of medical men, but said the demands of the night medical services had increased enormously during the last few weeks.
After a visit to the Auckland Hospital in company with the chair®an, of the board, Mr. Allan J. Moody, and the acting-medicai superintendent, Dr. C. B. Gilberd, the Minister said he was sure that in Tjr. near future improvements would be made in the facilities for the treatment of venereal disease. Various suggestions had been made that would be considered by the board and the Health Department He expressed appreciation of the Moody. V 0 Spirit shown fa y Mr.
