ANOTHER 'QUAKE

CONSIDERABLE NOISE EXPERIENCE IN THE SOUTH (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day An earthquake, accompanied with considerable noise, which was experienced at 7.44 last evening, is considered probably to have been centred elsewhere than the Wairarapa, though the distance from Wellington was about fifty miles. Probably too, it was deeper in origin. The record of it made at the Dominion Observatory, differs from those of the recent after-shocks. There can be no certainty about the shake until the records from elsewhere are studied. The shock is estimated at three to four on Rossiforel scale.
