UNION AIRWAYS
POSSHILE .SCHEDULE REVISION (0.C.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Tuesday. The curtailment of Union Airways' service from Auckland to Dunedin has been in operation since the destruction of the Lockheed machine at Mount Richmond on May 7, and information icaching New Plymouth is to the effect that further restrictions may possibly necessitate tho elimination of New Plymouth and Dunedin from tho list of calls. The wrecked machine was on loan to Cook strait Airways from Union Air\va t ys at the time of the crash, and its loss will mean a severe restriction on the longer service. For the past few weeks planes have flown north and south on only three days a week instead of five days a week, as previously. The usual itinerary was followed, embracing the towns of Auckland, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. The general manager of Union Airways at Wellington, Mr. P. M. Clark, was unable when interviewed to give any information about revised schedules. Certain proposals had been made bv the company, he said, and thc:-:o had to bo considered by the Tram-port Department and other interested organisations before they could ho put into operation. As the Department might amend the tentative schedule drawn up, he could not disck.se its nature. •
