HEAVY FALL OF SNOW
CONDITIONS AT CHATEAU (0.C.) THE CHATEAU, Tuesday. A heavy fall of snow on Sunday and a recording of more than three inches yesterday has provided good conditions for ski-ing in the vicinity of Chateau Tongariro. Normally very little snow falls as far down as the Chateau itself at this time of the year, but it was reported yesterday afternoon that guests were ski-ing on the golf links, directly in front of the main building.
