MID-AIR COLLISION

TWO AIRMEN KILLED INSTRUCTOR AND PUPIL (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. A mid-air collision between two aircraft of the Pvoyal New Zealand Air Force this morning resulted in the occupants of one machine, an instructor and a pupil pilot, losing their lives. The victims were:— Flying-Officer Robert William Douglas Cowper—Mrs. A. E. Cowper, Wanganui (mother). Leading-Airrraftni.in Derek Thomas Lippitt—Mr. C. F. Lippitt, Wallaceville (father). The occupant of the other machine was uninjured.
