FOUNTAIN PEN SHORTAGE
The Government officials are running round with tears in their eyes stressing how eager they are to do everything within their powers for us soldier chaps, and yet when everyoni °£. us are going overseas and those who have already gone nave tried without success to buy i fountain pen, which is a vital necesare the shops that the Government have cut down the import licenses so drastically that it ls ™P°ssible to import anything like sufficient to supply the requirements. Probably they will wake up shortly and then be told that the export has been prohibited by the Old Country. Surely something can be done even at this late date, and I wonder how many of the members of Parliament deprive themselves of this useful article even when they are surrounded with every other writing convenience and consider how much more necessary they are for the boys overseas. ONE OF THOUSANDS.
