SUNDAY CINEMAS
. "Mother" differs from other Christians in her interpretation of Christ's declaration on the Sabbath. Luther said, "If anyone says you must not do this, or that, on the Sabbath, I tell you to dance or sing, for did not our Lord say 'the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.'" Scottish Christians go to the cinema on Sundays. French Christians go to the races, and Spanish Christians r fisht. It is all a question of No one desires to prevent Mother" from homely prayer or devotion on Sunday, neither do thev desire to prevent the 140 different brands of Christians in New Zealand from praying and church-going. But hands off other people's lives who differ from them; we surely have an equal right to spend Sunday as we desire; that is the simple issue. Mother" is wrong about mv being a selfish bachelor;" I am 'happily married with four sons, two of whom are !h the army, and one daughter, ?i? are no worse for the liberty they both earn and desire on their Sunday holidav.
