BRITISH CHILDREN.

FIRST OFFICIAL PARTY.

WELLINGTON, this day.

The first party of British children to come to New Zealand under the official scheme for providing temporary homes in the Dominions for British children from danger areas has arrived safely. The party consists of 89 altogether, the children being accompanied bv adult escorts. All were given a warm welcome, in which the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Pbrrv, who carried out the negotiations with the British Government, joined.—(Press Assn.)
