BALLOT PROGRESS.
NAMES OF 16,000 MEN. COMPLETION DRAWS NEAR. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Such good progress was made to-day with, the ballot for 16,000 men for territorial service, now being conducted in Wellington, that it in hoped to complete the draw to-iuorrow. On the - first day, yesterday, 4800 names were drawn from the "register for th*> Auckland, Paeroa and Whangarel districts. The entire quotas for the Hamilton, Wellington. Wanganui and Xapier areas, amounting to 5650 men, were drawn to-day. If this late is maintained there is a' possibility the draw will finish to-mor-' row afternoon.
