ENGLISH ST. LEGER STAKES. (Rec. 11 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 24. The substitute St. Leger Stakes, one mile and three-quarters, which was to have been run at Hirst Park on September 28, has been abandoned for the second year in succession.
