FOUR BREACHES.

TRAFFIC. REGULATIONS. TRUCK DRIVER FINED. Fines and costs totalling £11 10/ were imposed on Cive Parsons at the Pukekohe Police Court yesterday by Mr. J. Morling, S.M. Defendant appeared on four breaches of the traffic regulations—with driving a motor lorry -without lights, having no warrant of fitness, exceeding a speed limit of 25 miles an hour, and having no heavy traffic license.

Traffic Inspector C. C. Davenport said he was patrolling the Great South Road near Pokeno when he saw a large truck truck travelling north at an excessive speed. He stovped defendant and ascertained he had no lights on hie truck. Defendant was advised to go to a garage and have the lights. attended to.. He got into his truck, drove off and passed two garages. His speed was clocked at 46 miles per hour. Although it was fairly dark, defendant drove on. Eventually he pulled to the side of the road at the Pukekohe-Great South Road intersection. Defendant had a long list of previous convictions.

For having no lights he was fined £1, no certificate of fitness 10/, excessive speed £3, and no heavy traffic license £5. In each case the costs were 10/.
