NEARLY MILLION.
Canadians Registered For Military Service. MINISTER'S ANNOUNCEMENT. OTTAWA, Sept. 11. The Canadian Minister of National War Services, Mr. J. ' G. Gardiner, has announced that 988,725 single men, aged between 19 and 45 years, have registered for military service. Of this total, 77,883 are in the 21-year class and will start training in October. Two batches of 30,000 each are to be called up before Christmas. The, figures do not include the 80,000 men' who have already, enlisted for active service. The second Canadian ' war loan of 141,000,000 dollars has been fully subscribed.
