FRONTIER REPORT. Italian Flyers To Help Germans. United Press Association. —Copyright. (Reed. 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 11. The British United Press correspondent on the German frontier learns that Italian pilots are being transferred to Germany as a result of the shortage of German pilots. September 16 is now mentioned as the vital date of the German programme. After being bombed and shelled for several hours this afternoon, the Dover area was again shelled and bombed at dusk. There were some casualties, including a few dead. The town's water supply was damaged. A Washington message etates that diplomats have reported that Germany has placed over 1,000,000 troops in German or German-occupied territory front>&jf*€he' Russian frontiers ~ as a precaution to forestall a Soviet coup during the blitzkrieg against Britain. NAVY'S OFFENSIVE. ON GERMAN SHIPPING. British Ottlciiu Wireless. (Reed. 2 p.m.) RUGBY, Sept. 11. Mr. Churchill's reference in his broadcast to shelling by the Royal Navy of ship concentrations from the other side of the Channel is expanded in an Admiralty communique issued on Wednesday night, which 'stated: '"Strong and repeated offensive actions arc being taken by our light forces against German shipping movements, ports and concentrations of chipping. "These operations have inflicted losses upon the enemy as well as damage to port facilities which would be vital to him in the event of an attempt to invade England. Further details cannot be given without disclosing information which would be useful to the enemy."
