COLLISION SEQUEL.
WHAKATANE, thie day. Aβ a sequel to a collision in Commerce Street on August 24, Tamati Mihanga Kaiwhata, aged 38, farmer, appeared before Mr. E. L. \Y:ilton, S.M., charged with being int-0.V..-<:ed whilst in charge of a car. He pleaded not guilty. The magistrate dismissed the information. T)r. Fletcher Cole described Kaiwhata's almost perfect reaction to thfc customary tests and said that the accused wae not intoxicated. Kaiwhata was also charged with driving in a manner dangerous to the public" using obscene language and not beintr in possession of a current warrant of fiitnws. To all these charges the accueed pleaded guilty and penalties of £7 10/ and costs. £5 and costs, and 10/ and coste were imposed respectively.
