TRAGIC ACCIDENT.

AIRCRAFTSMAN'S FATE STRUCK BY PROPELLER. PALMERSTON NORTH, Wednesday. A tragic accident occurred at the Ohakea aerodrome at six o'clock tonight, resulting in the death of Aircraftsman Arthur Jessop, aged 22. Aircraftsman Jessop was starting the outside port motor of a D.H. 86 aircraft, while the inside motor was running, and apparently walked into the spinning propeller of the inside motor. He was killed instantly. The deceased's father is Mr. A. L. Jessop, of Rongotea. A Court of Inquiry is being held today.— (Press Assn.)
