BRING AND BUY.

A bring and buy was conducted bv tTie Newmarket sub-centre of the Red Cross Society in the Newmarket Municipal Chambers. The Mayor and councillors were entertained at afternoon tea in recognition of their kindness in placing the Municipal Chambers at the disposal of the Newmarket sub-centre for its numerous activities. During the afternoon and evening music was"provided by Mrs. O. Spencer and Mr. B. Tilley. The following- have been and will be in charge of bring and buy activities at the Newmarket sub-centre Red Cross shop each Friday afternoon: The ladies of St. Luke's Presbyterian Church, the ladies of the Women's Auxiliary of the Y.M.C.A., Mrs. W. P. Endean, Mrs Faneourt and the League of Mothersj Parnell branch. The proceeds will go towards providing comforts and woollens for the sick and wounded.
