THE SMARTEST FIVE. GALLOPS AT TAKANINL Track _ conditions were very heavy at Takanini this morning, when the fast work was carried out on the middle grass, 10 feet out. Among the Avondale candidates to please were Airport, Classic, Mysito, Valamito and Flood Tide. The best five furlongs of the morning was credited to Gold Money Song (McMinn), who recorded 1.6 3-5 after running the first two in 25 3-55. Surella (Beguely) finished half a length in front of olen Connell (Cameron) at the end ot six furlongs. They both appeared to work well, but were not timed. Gamos (Wiggins) and Valamito (McMinn) were sent a mile, running the first half in -535, and the full distance in 1.51. Valamito finished a length In front. Flood Tide (T. Green), who had the. assistance of Inver (Btockley) over the last she furlongs, ran a mile in 1.49 3-5, Inver being a shade In front at the end. Airport (Splnley) was responsible for a good effort oyer half a mile, recording 53 3-ss. The two-year-olds, Cambria (Smith) and Verus (Green), were associated over three furlongs, the former revealing improvement to defeat Verus by two lengths In 39 3-ss. Route March (Smith) and Nettarian' (McMinn) took 39 1-55, both working wen. Queen City (Coker) and River Plate (Wiggins) also pleased while running three furlongs in 39 4-ss, both going nicely, particularly Queen City. Classic (McMinn) and Mysito (Jackson), after showing fine speed early to' run their first three furlongs in 37 3-ss, completed six In 1.32, the pair crossing the line together. Half-mile.—Foxola (Wiggins) and Hinelti (Quedley) 55 2-ss, Onetea (Quedley) and Princess Nassau (Bond) 58 3-ss, Lovaala (Stockley) and Princess Val (Beguley) 575, Te Kawiti (Wiggins) and Heroic Star (Coker) 56 2-ss. Maxam (Spinley) 575, Silver Quex (Beguley) 58s. Five furlongs.—Orelio (Green) and Arvakur (Curwen) 1.7 4-5, Sunola (Beguley) 1.9, Palustre (Walters) 1.12, Gaymlss (Green) 1.8 3-5.
