TEAMS ENTERTAINED.

PLEASANT SOCIAL HOUR. On Saturday evening a pleasant social hour was spent in the Thistle Hotel when the Wellington and Auckland rep, teams and the Dunedin and Diomede elevens were the guests of the A.F.A. at dinner. The function, which was presided over by Mr. Andrew Menzies was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. After a tempting repast had been done full justice to, the usual toast list was carried through, all the speeches being of a felicitous nature. A pleasing feature of the evening was the attendance of several of the Soccer Old Boys' Association, which comprised players whose names were bywords in the code in days gone by.
