MAN WITH BAD RECORD.

SENTENCED FOR VAGRANCY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. "You are a man with a very bad record/' said Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., in sentencing William Murray Aitken (53), to three months' gaol for vagrancy. AUken has a record of sentences ran "'in"' from one month to seven years for various olfences. During the past fortnight he had been frequenting Fraiikton station, annoying passengers, and sleeping there at night. He told the magistrate that he had had a bad cold for" the past fortnight, which hampered him from getting work. The magistrate said the public must be protected from this type.
