AN OLD OFFENDER.

LAY DOWN AND SWORE. An old offender, who regularly gets himself into trouble, Daniel Keenc (49), a labourer, made his first appearance this month at the Police Court to-day. Keene admitted charges of obscene language and drunkenness. "This mail," said Sub-Inspector McCarthy, "lay down on the footpath in Hobson Street yesterday and made use of the language to all and sundry." Keene, who had 39 previous convictions, was convicted and discharged for drunkenness, and fined £5, or one month, on the other charge.
