ROWING.
NORTH SHORE CLUB. The fifty-sixth annual meeting of the North Shore Rowing Club was held in the clubhouse last night. Mr. N. G. Cameron presided over a large attendance of members. The chairman congratulated the club upon the recard achieved last season— a record that was all the more creditable when the handicap suffered through the lack of boats was taken into account. The report and balance-sheet as presented were adopted. Mr. Geo. Barratt was elected a life member, and Mr. Butland, upon behalf of the club, made him a presentation for his work in coaching regatta crews. A number of matters of club interest were fully discussed; The election of officers resulted Patron, Mr. A. Harris, M.P.; president, Mr. Cassells-Brown; commodore,, Mr. c. Seagar (re-elected); vice-presidents, same las last year with the addition of^ Mr. IS. C. Cameron; captain, Mr. S. Butland, deputy captain, Mir. W. Dean; secretary, Mr L. B. McCallum; assistant secretary, Mr H. J. Norris; honorary treasurer, Mr. S McDuff; committee, Messrs. W. Oliver, sen S. Walsh, E. Korn, Challinor, D. Townsend, Carlyle, F. Eaton, S. Stokes, A. Cotes; honorary solicitors, Messrs. Justice Graham, L. Stuart, Armstrong, L. Stokes; honorary auditors, Messrs. R. A. Spinley, H. Bertrand; delegates Auckland Rowing Association, Messrs. S. Butland, W. Oliver, W Dean. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the retiring president, Mr. N. G. Cameron.
