AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
SPRINGDALE SPORTS CLUB. TE AROHA, Wednesday. A highly successful season was reported at the annual meeting of the Springdale •Sports Club. The credit balance, after building a new booth, was £75. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr. F. Lye, M.P.; president, Mr. P. AY. "Walters; vice-presidents, Messrs. C. Malcolm, H. Bridgman, P. Saxton, J. Nicholson, G. Fisk, E. Johansen, T. Hatchman, W. S. Goosman, R. H. Galloway, and D. Johangon; secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. Wagstaff; honorary surgeons, Drs. Lawrence, Dempster and Craig; delegate to the Northern Athletic Union, Mr. W. Shannon; official starter, Mr. W. Shannon; handicapper, foot and races, Mr. C. Morrison; chopping handieapper, Mr. C. L. Hardy; judges for running and cycling events, Messrs. A. Fagan, A. Shand and IT. Lindsay; judges for chopping events, Messrs. A. White, A. Lowe, H. Bridgman and R. H. Galloway; honorary auditor, Mr T. Hitcliman; grounds committee, Messrs. C. Malcolm, G. A. Fisk, E. Johansen, F. W. Walters, .T. Warder, T. Hitchman, D. Johanson and A. Hunger, sen.
