LAWN TENNIS.
ROTORUA CLUB. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) ■ ROTORUA, Wednesday. The annual meeting of the Kotorua Tennis Club was held last night at St. I John's Hall, when the president (Dr. S. H. Hay) presided over a good attendance. The report and balance-sheet were adopted, the latter showing that the club was in a very satisfactory condition, there being a credit balance of £59 3/G. The election of officers resulted : —Patron, Dr. S. H. Hay: president, Mr. R. G. Bennett; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. A. McLean, M. H. Thompson, R. Kirk and Judge Holland; club captain, Mr. AY. Sumner; vice-captain, Mr. N. Smith; secretary, Mr. McDowell; assistant secretary, Miss Dawson; honorary auditor, Mr. L. J. Brooker; committee, Messrs. O. H. Simmonds, R. Dannaefaerd, W. Foggin, R. Royal. I. Fraser. Mesdames R. G. Bennett and B. Sherriff. Misses Cooney and Moore. Regret was expressed at Mr.c Brookcr's retirement from position of secretary, and it was resolved that the club make a presentation to him as a mark of appreciation by members of the club.
